1) How do i join aseanchat?

- You can use mIRC application to connect to aseanchat. ( Type /server irc.aseanchat.net )

- You can even join aseanchat chatrooms via webchat by clicking here.

2) How do i change my nickname?

Type /nick newnickname ( Example: /nick Angeline )

3) How do i join a chatroom?

Type /join #chatroomname ( Example: /join #trivia - you will enter #trivia chatroom)

4) How do i leave a chatroom?

Type /part #chatroomname ( Example: /part #trivia - you will leave #trivia chatroom)

5) How do i register a channel?

Type /cs REGISTER channel password description ( Example: / cs REGISTER #MYHOME password123 Channel of Alicia)

6) How do i register a nickname?

Type /ns REGISTER password [email] (Example: /ns REGISTER password123 alicia@yahoo.com)

7) How do i identify my nickname?

Type /ns IDENTIFY password ( Example: /ns IDENTIFY password123 )

8) I forgot my nickname password?

Please join #Help and approach a Help Operator.

9) How do i change my nickname password?

Type /ns SET PASSWORD new-password ( Example: /ns SET PASSWORD password456 )

10) How do i set a vhost for my nickname?

Please join #vhost and request from there.

11) I have been kicked / banned / Killed / Glined from a channel / network.

Please join #Help and approach a Help Operator.

12) How do i listen aseanchat radio?

Please click on your desired radio station ( AseanFM / IndiaHitz ) from our online radio section. We provide you a webbased radio player. So all you have to to do is, just click on your desired radio station.

13) I'm not able to listen to Radio from Aseanchat website.

Please check if you browser is installed with Windows Media Player plugin. (Commonly for Mozilla Firefox) Click here to download Window Media Player plugin for Mozilla Firefox.

14) Im unable to connect to aseanchat due to java plugin is not installed on my computer.

Download the latest version of Java plugin from here.

15) How to i send a memo?

Type /ms send nickname urmessage ( Example : /ms send Alicia Hi, i wont be online today )

16) How do i add my nickname to a group?

Type /ns group nickname password ( Example : /ns group Alicia password123 - This nick name will be under Alicia's nick group. You can use the same password to identify any of the nick in your group.)

17) What does @ and + means?

@ is a channel operator or super operator.

+ is a channel voice. You will be voiced in a channel if you are active in channel main.

Apart from that you might notice bot sets mode to the channel or person. Please find the details as below:

+a to a user = Protected , Super Operator

+o to a user = Channel Operator

+q to a user = Channel Owner / Founder

+v to a user = Channel voice

+b to a user = User is banned from a channel.

+i to a channel = Invite Only Channel, Users wont be able to join this channel unless invited.

+m to a channel = Channel is moderated. Only +v and above able to chat in main channel.

+R to a channel = Only registered nick can join this channel.

+N to a channel = Users wont be able to change nick while on this channel.
